I will overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
